Four Wheel Campers Hawk review...

We have a 2004 FWC Hawk mounted on a 2003 GMC Sierra 1/2-ton pickup, 5.8L V8, ext. cab. With almost all options offered at the time, our camper weighed in at around 1,150 lbs. The truck hardly knows it's there. This camper has surpassed our expectations. We have gone on trips to Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and North Carolina in all kinds of weather; the FWC Hawk never let us down. If you plan on camping in cool/cold weather I'd recommend the "arctic pack", an expensive option but worth it. Also, if you get the extended bed option opt for the gas struts assist lift; the extra weight forward can be a challenge to raise by one person, especially if you have neck or back problems. Two people, and it's a snap to raise. Opt for the SuperSprings if you're putting this camper on a 1/2-ton pickup. The SuperSprings will maintain the truck's unloaded stance and improve cornering with loads.
